Private by design
Your photo goes from your device into the page, through the AI running in your browser, and back out as a download. There is no server in that path, so there is nothing to leak, log or keep.
Tips for better results
- 01Paint a little past the edge of the object for cleaner fills.
- 02Always include shadows and reflections in your mask.
- 03Remove big objects in several smaller passes.
- 04Zoom in to mask precisely near things you want to keep.
- 05Use the before/after slider to judge the result honestly.
- 06Save PNG for graphics and screenshots, JPG for photos.
Frequently asked questions
Is Object Remover really free?+
Yes. There are no credits, no paid plan and no watermark. Processing happens on your device, so there are no server costs per image.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. Your photo is read directly into your browser and processed there. Only the AI model file is downloaded, once, and then cached.
What resolution do I get back?+
Your original resolution, up to 4096 pixels on the long side on computers and 2560 pixels on iPhone and iPad. Only the painted area changes.
Why is the first removal slow?+
The first time, your browser downloads the AI model (about 28 MB) and starts it. After that it is cached and removals usually take a few seconds.
Does it work on phones?+
Yes. You can paint with your finger and pinch to zoom. Phones use a slightly smaller processing size to stay within memory limits.
Which browsers are supported?+
Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Browsers with WebGPU use your graphics card for speed; others fall back to a CPU engine that still works well.
What AI model does it use?+
MI-GAN, a compact image inpainting model, run with Microsoft's open-source ONNX Runtime Web inside your browser.
Can I undo a removal?+
Yes. Undo stroke removes your last brush stroke, Undo removal reverts up to fifteen removals, and Reset returns to the original photo.
