Object Remover

Free · Private · Full resolution

Remove a person from a photo, free

AI model loads on first use (~28 MB, cached afterwards).

0×0px · Paint over anything, press Enter. Shortcuts: B / E / H, [ ], Ctrl+Z. Your photo never leaves this device.

Almost everyone has a photo that would be perfect if one person were not in it. A stranger walking through a holiday shot, a friend who blinked at the wrong moment, or someone you simply no longer want in the picture. Object Remover lets you take that person out in a few seconds, and it does all of the work on your own device.

Instead of sending your picture to a server, the AI model downloads once into your browser and runs locally. That means your private photos stay private, there is no account to create, and the cleaned image is exported at the same resolution you started with. The demo above shows a figure standing in a landscape; paint over it and press Remove to see how the background is filled in.

The model behind the tool is MI-GAN, a compact inpainting network designed to rebuild missing regions so that textures, edges and lighting continue naturally. It works best on scenery, walls, sky, sand, grass and other areas with repeating patterns, which is exactly where most unwanted people end up standing.

How to do it in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Open your photo

Tap Open image, drop a file onto the editor or paste from your clipboard. JPG, PNG, WebP and most phone formats your browser can display all work.

  2. 2

    Paint over the person

Use the Brush to cover the whole person, including their shadow and any reflection. Go slightly past the outline; a little extra coverage gives the AI cleaner edges to work from.

  3. 3

    Remove and download

Press Remove painted area. Review the result with the before/after slider, repeat on any leftovers, then download as PNG or JPG.

Tips & limits

  • Always include the shadow on the ground. If you leave it, the AI keeps a dark patch that looks odd.
  • For a person in front of a busy background, remove them in two or three smaller passes rather than one big stroke.
  • Zoom in with the + button or pinch to paint precisely around hair and fingers near other subjects.
  • If a removal looks smudged, use Undo removal, paint a slightly larger area, and try again.

Limits: Very large people that cover most of the frame leave the AI with little real background to copy from, so results can look soft. People overlapping the main subject, such as an arm around someone's shoulder, are hard to separate cleanly. In those cases crop first or accept a partial clean-up.

Why use Object Remover for this

Most free object removers upload your picture to a server, shrink it, limit how many edits you can make, or ask you to sign up before you can download. Object Remover takes a different approach. The AI model runs inside your browser, so your photo never leaves your device, the result keeps your original resolution, and there is no account, no daily cap and no watermark. It is part of the TryImager family of free, private, browser-based image tools, built and maintained by an independent developer in Bengaluru, India.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free to remove a person from a photo?+

Yes. Object Remover has no paid tier, no credits and no watermark. Because the processing happens in your browser rather than on rented servers, there is no per-image cost to pass on to you.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+

No. Your image is read straight from your device into the page and processed by an AI model running inside your browser. Only the model file itself is downloaded from the internet, once, and then cached.

Will the output be lower quality than my original?+

No. The edited region is processed at a working resolution and blended back into your full-size image, and everything outside the painted area keeps its original pixels. You can download at full resolution up to 4096 pixels on the long side (2560 on iPhone and iPad).

Can I remove more than one person?+

Yes. Remove them one at a time or paint over several at once. You can repeat as often as you like and undo up to fifteen removals.

Does it work on my phone?+

Yes. The editor supports touch painting and pinch to zoom. Phones use a slightly smaller processing size to stay within memory limits, so very detailed removals may be a little softer than on a computer.
