Famous places are crowded, and the background of your best travel shot is often full of strangers. Object Remover lets you clear those people out so the landmark, the beach or the street becomes the star again, while you or your main subject stays exactly as photographed.
Background people are usually small, which suits the AI well. It looks at the surrounding pavement, sand, water or architecture and continues it across the area you paint. The demo above shows several small figures behind a larger one; try removing just the small ones and keep the main subject.
All processing happens on your device. The AI model downloads once and is cached, your photos are never uploaded, and the result is exported at the resolution you started with, without a watermark.
This is also useful for property and rental listings, event photos, and street photography where you want a cleaner composition. Removing just one or two distracting figures, such as someone in bright clothing near the edge of the frame, can make the whole picture feel more balanced without any other editing.
How to do it in 3 steps
1
Open your travel photo
Load the picture from your camera roll or computer. Large phone photos are supported up to 4096 pixels on the long side on computers.
2
Paint the background people
Brush over each unwanted person, including shadows and reflections. Leave your main subject untouched. Use the Eraser if your brush strays onto them.
3
Remove in passes
Remove a few people at a time, review with the before/after slider, and repeat until the background is clear. Then download.
Tips & limits
Work from the edges of the frame inward so each pass has clean background to borrow from.
Small groups can be removed in one go; large crowds look better removed in several passes.
Do not forget reflections in water or glass, which give away a removed person.
If a repeated pattern looks unnatural, undo, paint a slightly different shape and try again.
Limits: When people fill most of the background, there is little real scenery to copy, so results look less convincing. Crowds directly touching your main subject are harder to separate. For very busy scenes, removing the nearest few people often makes a big difference on its own.
Why use Object Remover for this
Most free object removers upload your picture to a server, shrink it, limit how many edits you can make, or ask you to sign up before you can download. Object Remover takes a different approach. The AI model runs inside your browser, so your photo never leaves your device, the result keeps your original resolution, and there is no account, no daily cap and no watermark. It is part of the TryImager family of free, private, browser-based image tools, built and maintained by an independent developer in Bengaluru, India.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove people but keep myself?+
Yes. Only the areas you paint are changed, so just avoid painting over yourself. The Eraser tool lets you trim the mask if you overlap.
How many people can I remove?+
There is no hard limit. Remove them in several passes for the best quality. You can undo up to fifteen removals if something goes wrong.
Does it work on night photos?+
Yes, though dark, noisy photos give the AI less texture to work with. The filled area may look a little smoother than the surrounding grain.
Is my location data uploaded?+
No. Nothing is uploaded at all. The downloaded result is a fresh image file without the original camera metadata.
Why is the first removal slower?+
The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads and starts the AI model. After that it is cached, and removals usually take a few seconds.
